Our Vision and Mission
Vision:
We are a center of excellence helping children, healing families and strengthening communities.
Mission:
To advocate for and respond to the needs of children in Central Florida who have medical, emotional and developmental challenges, especially those related to child abuse and neglect.
Our History
The Howard Phillips Center for Children and Families began as an effort to unite our existing programs under one roof to provide more accessible, child-friendly, 24/7 services through our Children’s Advocacy Center as well as providing a more expansive clinic space for Central Florida Early Steps to perform evaluations of children with suspected delays.
Fast forward twenty-five years, with the enduring philanthropic support of the community, funders and donors, The Howard Phillips Center has provided hope, healing and transformation for thousands of children and families in our community.
Our aspiration to transform lives is limitless. Our desire to provide healing to children and families is endless. Our potential impact in the community is boundless. With the support of our community and generous philanthropy, we can accomplish our aspirations. We have a limitless, endless and boundless commitment to transforming our community.
25th Anniversary Celebration
On January 10, 2025, The Howard Phillips Center celebrated 25 years of providing life-saving and life-changing services to thousands of children and families in Central Florida.
To transform lives, change attitudes, offer specialized resources and make a profound impact in the community, it takes a village of people committed to a common purpose.
We were excited to gather with Orlando Health leaders, government officials, team members and community partners to celebrate the incredible compassion combined with action that has led us towards fulfilling our vision.
